TVS Motor Company's total two-wheeler sales in August this year increased by 15 per cent to 1.03 lakh units compared to 89,500 units during the same period last year.

The total motorcycle sales in August were 59,675 units (49,020 units), a 22 per cent growth, says a company press release.

The scooterette sales witnessed a growth of 18 per cent to 21,873 units in August (18,576 units). TVS Scooty continues to be the market leader in the sub-100 cc scooterette segment.

Moped sales stood at 21,515 units in August (21,904 units), and the company continues to enjoy market leadership in this segment, the release says.

The company exported 6,430 units in August, recording a growth of 44 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The company is launching three new products this week to cash in on the forthcoming festival season demand. The new products are two variants of motorcycles and a variant of scooterette, the release says.
