IOC commissions TN pipeline

MAKING its foray into the southern part of the country in construction and operation of petroleum pipelines, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), on Thursday said that it has recently commissioned the 683-km-long Chennai-Tiruchi-Madurai pipeline in Tamil Nadu.
IOC has also commissioned a branch pipeline from its Sidhpur-Sanganer pipeline to Ajmer in Rajasthan.
The pipelines division of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has commissioned over a thousand kilometres of petroleum product pipelines during the current year and the total network is poised to touch 10,000 km, Mr A.M. Uplenchwar, Director (Pipelines), IOC, said.
The Paradip-Haldia crude oil pipeline will be commissioned during this financial year, he said.
The Panipat Refinery expansion related pipeline project is ready for commissioning while the Koyali-Ratlam and Koyali-Dahej pipeline will be completed by next year, he said.
"We have lined up many new projects for implementation to strengthen our leadership position in the business of petroleum pipelines. The Chennai-Bangalore pipeline, Panipat-Jalandhar LPG pipeline, Dadri-Panipat re-gassified LNG spur line have been lined up for implementation" he said.
