PASSION for excellence will help a student find ways and means to gain knowledge and exposure, said Mr B.T. Bangera, Managing Director, Hi-Tech Arai, here on Tuesday.
Inaugurating the `Business Line Club' at the Master of Business Administration Department of Fatima College here, he said that passion could be kindled in students through an effective interface between industry and institution and added that the Business Line Club could play the role of a facilitator in bringing them together.
Efforts to bring potential employers and aspiring students under one roof in various placement exercises had proved effective.
Besides events like `career fair' had also been organised in various places to create awareness of changing profiles of jobs and to help students know about the options available and how to equip better and what the industry expected of them, he said.
The profile of future managers was that they should be IT-literate and proactive to changes as technology was the driving force behind changes in the modern era, Mr Bangera said.
Academic knowledge would become outdated after five years.
The Business Line Club would organise special lectures and also had plans to conduct an inter-collegiate business quiz competition.
