Hyderabad , Aug. 26

THE Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organising the visit of a biotech delegation to China from September 11 to 19.During the trip it has planned to arrange one-to-one business meetings and visits to some well-known research centres and companies engaged in biotechnology research and development.

FICCI is in the process of working out the details of the programme in the city of Beijing and Shanghai. Dr Krishna M. Ella, Managing Director, Bharat Biotech International Ltd, Hyderabad and Chairman, FICCI Biotech National Committee, has agreed to lead the delegation.

An International Conference on Bio-economy is being organised by the China National Centre for Biotechnology Development from September 13-15 in Beijing. A large number of Chinese biotech companies are expected to participate and this would provide a good networking opportunity for Indian delegates.
