FRANKFURT Biotechnology Innovation Center (FIZ) today signed an MoU with the Delhi-based Paharpur Business Centre & Software Technology Incubator Park (PBCTM-STIP), under which the two companies have agreed to pursue business development exchange and collaboration for business practices.

As part of the agreement, the two would also work towards assisting enterprises in the field of biotechnology in their expansion plans.

Dr Christian Garbe, Managing Director of FIZ, and Mr Kamal Meattle, CEO of PBCTM- STIP, exchanged documents in the presence of the Ambassador of Germany, Mr Heimo Richter.

Incorporated in 2002, FIZ is a biotech business park located in the State of Hesse.

It has created action-based strategies to strengthen Hesse's life science sector to support the development of products, create jobs, and to improve economic growth.

Its objective is to move biotechnology from ideas to marketable products, thus helping companies located in the FIZ to get European market access.

It is already working with the Karnataka Government and the University of Ankara Biotechnology Institute.
