New Delhi , Aug 17

FUJIFILM today launched an entry-level camera `Crystal 12'. It would be priced at Rs 395 and comes with a one-year warranty. It is a Point and Shoot 35MM Camera with built in flash.

The camera is focus free and has a bigger viewfinder that enables the users in getting a wider perspective.

It also has a wide angle lens which helps in getting a wider frame. The `automatic' variant of the camera, Crystal 20, would also be available from today.

The product comes with free 400 ASA film, pouch and two AA size batteries.

The company plans to market the new product through its existing distribution network of 180 dealers and 1,100 Fujifilm Image Service and Fujifilm Digital Imaging lab-outlets.

The company would also make the product available in mid-size retail shops.

The company plans to conduct photo workshops and contests to spread awareness about the product.

With the launch, the company is aiming to enrol new users into photography and grow the market for entry-level cameras at a faster pace.

The current market for entry-level cameras is estimated at two million units per year and the company aims to corner 15 per cent of the market in the next two years.
