Power CPDCL posts Rs 114.45 cr net Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: The Central Power Distribution Company of AP Ltd (CPDCL) has registered a net profit of Rs 114.45 crore during the quarter ended June, against Rs 110 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The total revenues for the quarter stood at Rs 1,205 crore. In a release here on Wednesday, Mr Heeralal Samariya, Chairman and Managing Director of CPDCL, said the company would invest Rs 400 crore in the current financial year on various schemes to improve the quality of power supply. Mr Samariya said the company strengthened the consumer call centre (1912) with 20 lines and 60 operators to receive the complaints. "As a result, 95 per cent of supply related complaints are solved within 24 hours," he said. With a view to increase transparency and improve access, the company had started giving details of payments and dues on its Web site (www.apcentralpower.com) .
