Energy security

This is with reference to the article `Securing energy security highpoint of US visit' (Business Line, July 30). Does this mean that there is a shift in policy by giving greater emphasis to nuclear energy and nuclear plants for energy security? Allaying fears over India's commitments as against US promises, the Prime Minister has said that our commitments will be effective on Washington fulfilling its promises.

In sum, it all depends on how we are able to play our diplomacy and trade relations with other countries including China. Only time may tell how we take advantage and win.
