AFL appoints new global cargo head

Mumbai , Aug 1

AFL Pvt Ltd, a provider of integrated supply chain management solutions in the country, has appointed Mr Detlev Janik as the Global Head - Cargo.

Mr Janik will be based in Mumbai and will be responsible for the global expansion of AFL's freight business.

He will also be responsible for strengthening the existing relationship with AFL's overseas partners and improving the sales productivity and efficiency of AFL's overseas partners on the India route, an official statement said. Mr Janik will be supported by Mr Homi Ustad, General Manager - Cargo division, AFL Pvt. Ltd.

Mr Janik's last assignment was with the Hego Group of Companies where he specialised in project forwarding and execution of large industrial projects in Asia.

His previous assignments include a stint with ABX Logistics in Singapore in the capacity of Managing Director, European Transport System as Regional Director and the Herman Ludwig Group.
