Eveready Q1 net up 7.6 pc

KOLKATA: EVEREADY Industries India Ltd, the flagship company of the BM Khaitan group that deals in batteries, flashlights, and packet tea, has registered a 7.6 per cent growth in gross sales at Rs 213.15 crore for the first quarter ended June.

Gross sales in the corresponding previous period was Rs 198.65 crore. The company recorded net profit of Rs 6.29 crore against net loss of Rs 4.43 crore.

Other income remained more or less same at Rs 72-83 crore in the two quarters.
