Micrsoft India sets up project innovation centre

Hyderabad , July 25

MICROSOFT India Development Centre (MIDC) has announced the setting up of an Engineering and Product Innovation Centre (EPIC) and the induction of Mr Nagesh Pabbisetty as the General Manager of this centre.

Mr Nagesh joins Microsoft from RealNetworks where he was the Vice-President, Consumer Products and Support, with full R&D and business responsibility for Real Player, the flagship product of the company.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Srini Koppolu, Managing Director, Microsoft India Development Centre, said, "The intellectual property, products and services delivered out of MIDC in Hyderabad are crucial to the company's long term strategy and competitiveness. Mr Nagesh will lead product and business innovation at RTC (real time collaboration group) and EPIC."

Today, MIDC is working on a range of products critical to Microsoft's business goals and is the mirror image of the development centre at Redmond.
