E-Governance Info-Tech - Telecommunications `Homeeseva' service launched in AP Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: Expanding the scope of e-Seva further, the Andhra Pradesh Government has launched an innovative scheme involving PCO (Public Call Office) operators to deliver electronically deliverable services at the doorsteps of consumers. The scheme was put in place in AP Online in association with other service providers. The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, launched the `Homeeseva' (a multi-service delivery point), service here on Thursday. Addressing a gathering after the launch, he said the service would boost the income of those who run STD booths and PCOs. "About 50,000 youth would be benefited," he said.
