Nucleus Soft Q1 net zooms to Rs 8.6 cr

New Delhi , July 18

NUCLEUS Software Exports today reported a 192-per cent rise in net profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 8.59 crore for the quarter ended June compared to Rs 2.94 crore for the corresponding previous period.

Consolidated revenue for the quarter increased by 56.96 per cent to Rs 32.84 crore from Rs 20.93 crore earlier, a company release said.

Earning per share (EPS) for the quarter increased to Rs 5.34 from Rs 1.83 earlier (adjusted for the 1:1 bonus issue of shares allotted in August 2004).

The company added three customers during the quarter under review, taking the total number to 99.

Mr Vishnu Dusad, Managing Director, said: "This quarter's results, highlighted by record turnover, net income and order growth for our software banking solutions, is testimony to continued product leadership and focus on creating world-class intellectual capital."

The company is optimistic on its products business and foresees increasing demand for such niche products.
