TELK bags export order

KOCHI: The State-owned Transformers and Electricals Kerala Ltd (TELK) has bagged export order worth Rs 10 crore from Sultanate of Oman for transformers.

The order is for supply of two132/33kv, 125 MVA transformers and six 33/11.5 kv, 20 MVA transformers for Mobella Transmission Project and Riyam Sub station at Oman.

Mr K.R. Vishwambharan, Managing Director, said that the company had secured the order against stiff competition from leading manufacturers all over the world. The company will be able to complete the delivery within the contracted delivery period by April/May 2006.

TELK, he said, had given maximum thrust for exports recently. The company expects further export orders of Rs 5 crore from Oman within a month. At present, it is having a total order book of Rs120 crore, he said.
