Chennai , July 7 FENESTA Building Systems, a division of the Rs 1,980-crore DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd (DSCL), has launched its range of Fenesta uPVC (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride) window and door systems in Chennai. The product has been launched in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore. DSCL has entered into technology collaboration with Heywood Williams (HW) Group plc, UK which has a global turnover of over £600 million. Besides UK, the HW group also has presence in US, Eastern Europe and parts of Asia. Mr Rajiv Sinha, Deputy Managing Director, DSCL, said that the company has invested Rs 30 crore in this division and has three fabrication shops at Bangalore, Mumbai and Bhiwadi (near Delhi). The company has a captive PVC profiles extrusion plant at Kota. He said that the next fabrication shop would be at Hyderabad. The company has plans to set up fabrication units across the country as the demand builds up. DSCL has also set up a design studio to design and develop products suitable for local market requirements. Mr Sinha said that the product was tested in the desert conditions also. The product comes with a 10-year warranty, he said.
