TCS new facility in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is setting up its own software development centre at its Technopark campus here, will employ at least 5,000 software professionals.

TCS is signing an agreement on Friday for allotment of 26 acres of adjoining land in Technopark, Mr M. Vasudevan, Senior Manager-Business Development, Technopark, said here.

TCS has already set up a corporate training centre at an investment of Rs 10 crore. The company is now in the process of creating a global leadership and training centre at an investment of Rs 100 crore here, expected to be ready by the end of this year. This is the biggest land allotment agreement to be executed by Technopark since inception, Mr Vasudevan said.
