Centre allocates Rs 80 cr for Kerala Horti Mission

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Centre has allocated Rs 80 crore to the State under the Horticulture Mission 2005-06. Announcing this, an official spokesman said here that this followed a series of representations made to the Centre made in this regard by the Agriculture Minister, Ms K.R. Gowri.

The Agriculture Secretary, Mr E.K. Majhi and the Director, Mr P.S. Sasi, represented the State Government during discussions held with the Centre. The State Government has been directed to prepare a detailed project report for the successful implementation of the Mission.
