Tata Tele lines up customised tools

V. Rishi Kumar

Hyderabad , June 26

TATA Teleservices Ltd (TTSL) has lined up a series of customised solutions for the enterprise business segment.

Mr Prabhat Pani, COO, told Business Line that in this growing sector, customers demand customised offerings for both voice and data.

"Devices such as the Vdata card, or for that matter wireless landline, have been conceptualised with the intent of business process improvement, expediting decision-making, eliminating information hops and ensuring disruption-free information flow. The challenge is to design innovative business solutions around existing wireless devices."

The Vdata Card from Sierra enables mobile executives to work on the systems from anywhere, anytime, by providing access to Internet and office intranet.

As a cost-effective option, the company is offering the CDMA modem, which substitutes VSATs and enables instant deployment. This offers wireless data connectivity through Ethernet or serial connector.

InstaConnect establishes point-to-point data connectivity, which is beneficial to small enterprises and distributed offices of large organisations.

These range of enterprise solutions are supported by now relatively cheaper CDMA handsets and also come with the option of Sim card, so far unavailable.
