Alliances & Joint Ventures SingTel ties up with Noida STP to offer e-learning solutions Our Bureau
New Delhi , June 21 SINGAPORE Telecommunications (SingTel) has entered into a strategic alliance with Noida Software Technology Park to offer e-learning solutions in India for global markets. The financial details of the agreement are not known. This is SingTel's second alliance in the country after it had taken nearly 30 per cent stake in telecom services company Bharti Tele-Ventures. "The Interactive Distance Learning (IP Learn) service, marketed under the Cosmic Campus brand, is an integrated e-learning solution for education centres and content providers to deliver high quality education via digital audio video broadcasting to remote locations across Asia using ST-1 satellite." SingTel will manage and maintain all the hardware and satellite transmission systems from Singapore, while Noida Software Technology Park Ltd (NSTPL) would take care of the delivery on the ground, a press statement said.
While SingTel will provide the infrastructure and management expertise, NSTPL - promoted by media house Jain TV - will bring to the table its capabilities in developing e-learning content.
