Announcements Marketing - Brands Agri-Biz & Commodities - Aquaculture IOC to introduce branded diesel for fishing sector Our Bureau
Kochi , June 15 THE Kochi Division of Indian Oil Corporation is all set to launch their premium grade diesel across almost all their outlets in the fishing sector soon. The Senior Divisional Retail Sales Manager, IOC, Kochi, Mr Soman Mathews, launched the product, Xtramile Super Diesel, at an IOC petrol bunk close to the Thoppumpady fishing harbour on Tuesday. The Cochin Fishing Harbour alone has over 500 fishing trawlers. Xtramile with its multifunctional additives removes the existing engine deposits and prevents any further accumulation and therefore practically restores the engine to its original robust and healthy level, IOC said in a press release. Thus by reducing emissions or unburnt carbon particles, the premium diesel gives maximum power for the fishing trawlers engines. Sustained use of Xtramile ensures a far smoother drive, easier starting, extra power, extra acceleration, reduced emission levels and lower maintenance costs, the release said. Xtramile Super Diesel is already available in 232 petrol bunks across the state. However, the product is launched for the marine sector for the first time. The marine sector, which has an estimated 5,000 fishing trawlers in the State alone, is expected to benefit from the launch.
