World Park sets up hotel at Rameswaram

Madurai , June 10

WORLD Park Hotels (India) Ltd, an emerging closely held marketing and management company, running a chain of hotels in the State since 1996, has set up Hotel Royal Park in Rameswaram.

The first luxury hotel in the private sector offering budget tariff with the standard of star comforts in the island has 33 deluxe superior air-conditioned rooms with all basic facilities and a 24-hour vegetarian restaurant, according to the pivot and Managing Director of World Park, Mr T.N.C. Vijayasarathy. The 31-year-old first generation entrepreneur from the family of LIFCO, a publisher from Chennai, is a recipient of `Best Entrepreneur Award- 2004' from Madurai Lions Club.

Speaking to Business Line here, he said the hospitality industry has immense potential, particularly in south Tamil Nadu. The development of infrastructure in the region in terms of connectivity and the implementation of the Sethusamudram project will take the region to further heights, he said.

He added that tourists these days look for comforts and provision of basic amenities at affordable budgets more than luxury.
