Alembic's API unit President

NEW DELHI: Mr K. Srinivas has joined Alembic Ltd as President API business and Generic Alliances.

He has an experience of more than two decades in the pharmaceutical industry including a stint with Ranbaxy. In Alembic, Mr Srinivas' portfolio will include the entire API business — both domestic and international, and also exploring the generic alliances.

With Mr Srinivas joining, Alembic has now put in place a top management team to gain further momentum to its efforts of expanding its presence in the regulated markets. In the last two months, Dr P. B. Deshpande, Head of Chemical R&D, and Dr Balwant Desai, Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs also joined Alembic.
