Hyderabad , May 27

PREFERRING a low profile visit to Andhra Pradesh, the Volkswagen AG team, now touring Hyderabad, called on the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajshekhara Reddy, here on Friday.

Later, refraining from interacting with the media, the auto major's team is reported to have communicated to the Government that its decision to locate a one-billion-euro greenfield project in India hinges on the German company's board decision.

The State Minister for Major Industries, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana, along with Government officials met the CM. The State Government officials did not talk about the project.

Earlier, the team visited the proposed site offered by the State Government for the project in Visakhapatnam.
