Indo Asian plant goes on stream

NEW DELHI: Indo Asian Fusegear Ltd said on Monday that its new plant for compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) has become operational.

The plant, set up with a Rs 10-crore investment in Noida, will enable the company produce special CFLs, which are shorter in length and power-saving compared to the ones being manufactured now.

The Chairman and Managing Director, Mr V. P. Mahendru, said, "With the installation of this plant, Indo Asian Fusegear's CFL plant capacity will not only be quantitatively upgraded to produce world-class, environment-friendly lamps, it is also under substantial expansion to produce 40 million CFLs annually, making us the largest CFL manufacturing company in India."
