New Delhi, May 16

THE Minister for Company Affairs, Mr Prem Chand Gupta, has said that his Ministry has received complaints against Reliance Group from Mr Anil Ambani, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries Ltd.

He, however, refrained from commenting on the exact nature of complaint.

The Government was concerned over the developments in the Group, he said.

"We are not sleeping over the matter. We know what we have to do," the Minister said. The Ministry is in the process of getting feedback on Reliance developments from the Registrar of Companies, he said.

Stating that Reliance is one of the biggest private sector entities, the Minister said any destabilisation was a matter of concern for the Government as it involved interests of millions of investors.
