New Projects Pride group opens hotel in Ahmedabad Our Bureau
Mumbai , May 15 THE Pride Group of hotels has opened a 110-room Hotel and Convention Centre at Ahmedabad. It now has a presence in Pune, Nagpur and Ahmedabad. The hotel chain is a part of the Rs 300-crore S.P. Group, which is into construction business at Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai. The group is implementing an expansion programme in the western and southern regions of the country. An official statement quoting Mr S.P. Jain, Chairman, said that while real estate prices had reached saturation point in the metro cities, the places that the group had chosen, including Pune, Nagpur and Ahmedabad, had potential for growth. With Ahmedabad emerging as a destination for the textile and pharma industry, the group had positioned its property in the city as a business hotel. The Pride Pune has entered into a tie-up with Best Western, a hotel chain with a global presence, the statement added.
