Pantaloon Retail opens 3 outlets in a single day

PANTALOON Retail (India) Ltd on Saturday announced the opening of three outlets, spread over 1.3 lakh square feet.

The company opened two Big Bazaar outlets in Kandivili (65,000 sq ft) and Thane (50,000 sq ft) in Mumbai and one in Ghaziabad (16,000 sq ft).

The two new Big Bazaars in Mumbai will both have a Food Bazaar, spread over 10,000 sq ft. The Thane store will also have a Café Bollywood. Both stores will have a live dairy, kitchen and bakery, along with a chakki.

In a press release, Mr Kishore Biyani, Managing Director, Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd, was quoted as saying, "Today is a milestone for all of us at Pantaloon Retail, having rolled out three outlets in a single day. We are on an exciting growth path and hope to bring a great shopping experience to more Indian cities."

Over 1.6 lakh products will be available under one roof, ranging from apparel to plastics.

The Big Bazaars will also have Gold Bazaars within their stores.
