Ford India, GMAC on Crisil rating watch

Our Bureau

Mumbai , May 7

CRISIL on Saturday placed its outstanding ratings on the debt programmes of Ford India Ltd and GMAC Financial Services India Ltd on a rating watch with developing implications.

The decision follows the revision of ratings of their parent companies — Ford Motor Company and General Motors Corp — by international rating agency Standard and Poor's.

The outstanding rating of `P1+' on Ford India's short-term debt programme factors in the financial, product and managerial support that the company eceives from its parent, the rating agency said in a release.
