Indo-Japanese Parliamentary Forum launched

New Delhi , April 29

THE Indo-Japanese Parliamentary Forum (IJPF) was launched under the auspices of the FICCI by the Minister for External Affairs, Mr K. Natwar Singh, here on Friday.

While addressing the meeting Mr Singh said that the two countries could further intensify their cooperation on regional and global issues. He also said that Japan has conveyed its support for India's membership of the East Asia Summit. IJPF will be chaired by senior Rajya Sabha member Mr Ashwani Kumar of the Indian National Congress and co-chaired by Mr Suresh Prabhu, another senior Member of Parliament.
