CESC posts higher turnover, net

KOLKATA: CESC Ltd has posted a higher net profit of Rs 160 crore in 2004-05, compared with Rs 86 crore in 2003-04. The total income was Rs 2,386 crore (Rs 2,416 crore), according to a press release issued by the company.

In the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005, CESC posted a net profit of Rs 39 crore (Rs 17 crore). The company clocked a turnover of Rs 582 crore (Rs 539 crore).
