Nation of crabs?

A well-structured organisation is the surest way for people to work together as a team and achieve better results than what each working on his own could.

It is this commitment to build and work through the organisation that inspired Swami Vivekananda.

The Ramakrishna Mission he established in India, its impressive growth and its expanding role, bear testimony to his vision.

However, sadly, in developing nations, organisations that have been founded on lofty goals are often prevented from achieving these goals thanks to the selfish and unprincipled elements that manipulate them.

A case in point is our very own country, often described as a nation of crabs, meaning that if someone is moving up the ladder, others gang up to pull him down. This is why harnessing the potential of people and economies remains stunted.
