Chennai , April 9 GODREJ SED (security equipment division), part of Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Co Ltd, has entered into a tie-up with Masonite International Corporation of Canada to market a range of ready-to-fit doors branded Godrej Entranza. Mr Roy Manion, Vice-President-Export Sales, Masonite International Corporation, said Masonite manufactures 45 million doors a year and has manufacturing bases all over the world. The doors will be imported from Vancouver, Canada for the Indian market. The materials used for the doors are wood, fibreglass, steel and high-density fibre. Mr Manion said fibreglass is now the fastest growing segment. Research shows that last year fibreglass had 24 per cent of the market share, compared to 1 per cent in 1999. Mr D.E. Byramjee, Vice-President and Business Head Godrej SED, said the company decided to increase its portfolio and introduce these doors in the Indian market. He said, with ready-to-fit doors, a commodity or low involvement product becomes a lifestyle statement. These doors are designed for commercial, institutional and household purposes. The doors will be sold at Godrej showrooms and will be backed by the company's after-sales service, said Mr Byramjee.
