Embedded processor design contest

BANGALORE: Altera Corporation, a provider of programmable logic devices, has announced the 2005 Nios Soft-core Embedded Processor Design Contest in India.

The contest aims to increase the students' interest in embedded processors while improving their design skills and results in the development of System-on-a-programmable chip (SOPC) system design.

Students from India can apply as an individual or as a team of 3 students. The deadline for registration is April 15, said a company press release.
