COGNIZANT'S Shanghai development centre in China would start operations in April.

The centre will begin with a 300-seat facility, and around 25 persons are to be recruited in the next few months, according to Mr Narayanan.

It has recruited six Chinese senior middle-level managers and they are undergoing training at the Chennai centre to familiarise themselves about the company and its culture.

Cognizant has also identified a Chinese to head the China centre, he said.
