TRAVEL agents representing various trade associations such as Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), IATA Agents Association of India, and Travel Agents Federation of India, have intensified their stir and have returned the promotional material from Lufthansa and British Airways.

The members of the travel trade are protesting the proposed reduction in commission from seven per cent to five per cent, effective from May 1.

The move to reduce commission was spearheaded by Air India, a TAAI release said.

The travel agents had returned the promotional material from Air India and Singapore Airlines on March 14 and March 21 respectively.
