Announcements Saw Pipes changes name to Jindal Saw Our Bureau
New Delhi , March 17 SAW Pipes Ltd has announced a change in name to Jindal Saw Ltd. According to a release, the objective of the name change is to align the pipe manufacturing company with the entire group and to "consolidate a diverse product portfolio under a corporate brand". The company, which began as a single product company two decades ago, has expanded its product range from manufacturing only large diameter submerged arc welded (SAW) pipes to seamless tubes and ductile iron pipes as well. "The strategy to decentralise the various production centres is paying off favourably ... the new name no longer restricts the company's profile as a manufacturer of SAW pipes only," said Ms Sminu Jindal, Managing Director.
