Deepak Chawla is CGM of SBI, Kerala circle

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mr Deepak Chawla has taken over charge as Chief General Manager of State Bank of India (SBI), Kerala Circle, having a jurisdiction over the whole State of Kerala, Mahe and the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.

Announcing this, a spokesman of the Kerala Circle of SBI said here that Mr Chawla joined the bank as a probationary officer in 1972. He has served the bank in various capacities.

Mr Chawla has also had stint as Assistant General Manger, Corporate Accounts Group, Mumbai, apart from another with the Paris operations of the bank.
