Airlines Travel agents return Air India promo material in protest Our Bureau

Chennai , March 14 MEMBERS of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) today returned all the promotional material to the Air India city office. This is a token protest against the move by the national carrier to reduce the commission from 7 per cent to 5 per cent effective May 1. Mr N.R. Kumaraswamy, Chairman, TAAI, said that the entire travel fraternity would meet and decide whether to suspend sale of Air India tickets or not. He said that this move by the airline would force a number of agencies to close down. It would also create a lot of unemployment, he said.
