Traders plan hunger strike on March 17

New Delhi , March 12

TRADERS at every district of the country are to observe a one-day hunger strike on March 17 to protest against the implementation of State-level value added tax (VAT) from April 1.

This was decided at the two-day conference of trade leaders being held at Bhopal and organised by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT). It was also decided at the conference that the traders all over the country would observe "VAT Burn Holi" on March 25, a release said here.
