Our Bureau

AHMEDABAD: The Ahmedabad-based Dishman Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals Ltd is set to acquire a UK-based contract research and manufacturing company.

The company's board approved the strategic acquisition of the British company and authorised its Managing Director, Mr J.R. Vyas, to negotiate and finalise the terms of the acquisition.

The British entity, which was not named, would be acquired thorough its wholly owned subsidiary — Dishman Europe Ltd. The acquisition would strengthen the business model of the Dishman group, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday.
