ITDC has announced the Heritage Festival of India-2005 in collaboration with the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to be held at Hyderabad.

The exposition would be held at the People's Plaza, Necklace Road from March 11-27. It would comprise a cultural bonanza for connoisseurs of Indian art, a release said.

ITDC also said that it is holding the event as part of the ongoing `Incredible India' campaign by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The proposed festival would be a celebration of the cultural heritage of India, which is represented through its wealth of handicrafts in wood, stone and metal, pottery, paintings, jewellery, cane and bamboo, embroideries and assorted paper pulp artefacts. Around 200 artisans would participate from all over the country in the festival, conceived as an annual feature.
