THE Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) has announced its plan to introduce a host of publications on business practices as part of its initiatives to mark 60 years of professional involvement in the country.

The publications lined up to mark the diamond jubilee include the AAAI official handbook for advertising agencies and advertisers. This is part of the 10-point programme announced by the association. The publications will also cover areas such as best practices, responsibilities and ethics.

While addressing presspersons, Mr Kurien Mathews from Radeus Advertising Pvt Ltd, said, "The first two publications will be out in a couple of months and will cover areas such as best practices, responsibilities and ethics."

Mr Mathews has been entrusted the task of bringing out this series of publications.

The programme encompasses releasing a book on the history of Indian advertising under the guidance of Mr Ramesh Narayan, CEO, Canco Advertising. The other initiatives include holding diamond jubilee seminars, international advertising conventions, Afro-Asian awards and setting up an advertising centre where key advertising bodies can exchange resources.

The association will further strengthen traditional ties with the Indian Newspaper Society, the Indian Broadcasting Federation and the Indian Society of Advertisers to monitor bilateral interests and concerns at regular intervals, a release from AAAI said.
