Aquaculture Mussel power K.K. Mustafah
Fisherfolk engaged in mussel farming at Chettuva in Thrissur district. Mussel farming is gaining momentum in the State thanks to sustained training programmes. The production has recorded 800 tonnes of late and is poised to double by the year 2005-08. The national production, which stood at 10,000 tonnes, is also expected to double by this year.
