Bangalore quiz group finds many takers online

Our Bureau

Bangalore , Jan. 5

QUIZZING has become such a popular activity that a quizmaster has been inspired to form the Bangalore Quiz Group (BQG) that, within three months of existence, has become 500-member strong.

Being an online facility, BQG has been successful in enlisting members from all over India and abroad.

Contributors from around the world - a CEO in Hong Kong, an Indian software professional in Frankfurt and of course, at home - contributions from one of India's well known quizmasters plus a handful of highly enthusiastic members help create exclusive quizzes that are adored by the members, said Mr Avinash Mudaliar, well-known quiz master and Associate President and Content Consultant.

The basic aim of BQG is the propagation of knowledge. BQG members come from different walks of life - students, doctors, dentists, housewives, business professionals, software professionals and more - a healthy mix of quizzers, non-quizzers, professional quizmasters, and wannabe pros.

In the short span of three months, BQG has grabbed 35 per cent of the national quizzing pie and three original high quality quizzes are created and go out every day.

"The day for our members invariably begins with the pleasant discovery of three top-of-the-line quizzes in their mail box," said Mr Mudaliar.

Its portal, www.bangalore quizgroup.com, lends a unique flexibility to host a variety of quizzes, be it audio or pictorial, said Mr Mudaliar.
