Events Gitex to host events on gaming, smart appliances in Hyderabad Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Dec. 29 THE fourth edition of Gitex, organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre and the Andhra Pradesh Government scheduled for January 12-14, will concurrently host major events on animation and gaming, an international conference on smart appliances for professionals and computer shopper for the rest. Gitex has been positioned as a platform to transact business and leverage opportunities in e-governance, IT and ITES and BPO. Coinciding with the event, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) is organising an international conference on animation and gaming and IEEE, during the same time, is hosting an international conference on "Enabling Technologies for Smart Appliances," focussing on the latest developments associated with smart appliance technology. This year the Dubai World Trade Centre is introducing retail electronic hardware sales in a separate hall titled `Computer Shopper'. The State Government has exempted local tax on all sales during the three days of the show. The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), hosting the Computer Shopper, have joined hands with the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) to give visitors another reason to visit this event with an all expenses-paid trip for two to Dubai. The promotion titled "Visit GITEX Hyderabad Computer Shopper and win-a-holiday-to-Dubai" offers one lucky winner, a trip for two people to one of the most attractive holiday destinations in the region. The DTCM Director Operations and Marketing, Mr Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb, in a statement said, "Dubai is increasingly recognised as an attractive destination for travellers seeking somewhere new and different, yet offering facilities of the highest international standards. It combines the comfort and convenience of the Western world with the unique charm and adventure of the Middle East, an exotic destination with a cosmopolitan lifestyle."
