Rathi Vinay Jha to head FDCI

New Delhi , Dec. 20

THE Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) today announced the appointment of Ms Rathi Vinay Jha as its Director-General, the first woman to hold such a post since the council's formation in 1998.

She played a key role in the setting up of the NIFT and is considered an industry veteran with experience spanning 37 years, an FDCI statement said here.

Meanwhile Ms Ritu Kumar has been elected as the FDCI board President.
