Outsourcing Ugam plans expansion L.N. Revathy
Coimbatore , Dec. 17 UGAM Solutions plans to establish its presence in the upcoming tier II IT township within the next three months. The company, which provides research and information services to global enterprises from its offshore centre in Mumbai has, according to its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Sunil Mirani, decided not to set up offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad or Gurgaon. Speaking to Business Line, Mr Mirani said that he had short-listed Chennai, Coimbatore, Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Nagpur for possible expansion. "We will be establishing our offices in one of these cities very soon. We are looking for a 20,000-sq ft space with good infrastructure facility and a ten-fold increase in team size from 300 to 3,000 over a five-year period," he said. Mr Mirani did indicate that Coimbatore could be an ideal choice because of the group's connection with the textile industry. (KVS Group and Avalon Consulting, aare the co-founders of Ugam Solutions).
