Kerala: Transfers to be cancelled

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Minister for Local Administration, Mr K. Kutty Ahamed Kutty, has given an undertaking to the representatives of the Kerala Municipal and Corporation Staff Union to cancel transfers that do not stand scrutiny of norms.

A spokesman said that the undertaking was given during talks held between the Minister and representatives of the Union here on Thursday. According to the Union General Secretary, the Minister had given directions to the Director, Department of Urban Affairs, who was also present, to take necessary action.
