Kisan credit cards

MADURAI: According to a note from the National Bank for Agriculture and Development (Nabard), till March this year, kisan credit cards totalling about 1.2 lakh have been issued in Tiruchi district.

While commercial banks have issued about 56,000 cards, the District Central Co-operative Bank and its branches have issued the remaining 46,000 cards. Together, they have issued loans to the tune of Rs 22 lakh during the last financial year, the note added.
