Chennai , Dec. 8 ECS, a consultancy in which the Eicher group and US-based Strategic Decisions Group have equal stakes, on Wednesday opened an office in Chennai. This is the consultancy's fourth Indian office. At a press conference, the Chief Executive, Mr Ravi Bhamidipati, identified Chennai's manufacturing sector as one that could provide business opportunities. He added that ECS would also look at the city's fast growing service sector for opportunities. ECS generates most of its business from challenges in the manufacturing sector's business processes. Mr Bhamidipati said currently consultancy assignments that focussed on strategic management were a fast growing area. The company managed to double in size over the last three years, a lacklustre period for the industry, said its officials. ECS, which was originally called Eicher Consultancy Services, has offices in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore.
